Port Orange is a dynamic, growing area, which was carved out many years ago from acres and acres of orange groves. The city has experienced tremendous growth in recent years, with many new restaurants, new schools and the construction of “The Pavillion”, a shopping, dining and entertainment venue situated by I-95.  Strict building requirements have resulted in an aesthetically pleasing environment with a strong sense of community.

New housing developments have sprung up on the west side of the city.  Port Orange Days is an annual celebration held in October, with rides, food and special events.  Recreational facilities abound with numerous sports programs for youths.

Port Orange is only minutes from the beaches, Daytona International Speedway,  colleges
(Daytona State College, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Bethune Cookman College, Stetson University, and The University of Central Florida), International Hair Academy and Palmer Chiropractic School.  Orlando is only one hour away.
